Residental Support Worker:
Children Care

Are you a compassionate and motivated individual looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children? We are recruiting Residential Support Workers for small children’s homes in London. The homes cater to children aged 3-18, providing care, support, and a safe environment for their growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overnight care and support, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily routine activities.
  • Support children in developing communication, independent living, and social skills.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing environment tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Handle challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
  • QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children’s & Young People’s Workforce/Residential Childcare (required).
  • Prior experience in a care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience supporting children with personal care and mobility needs is an advantage.
  • Patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner.
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child and adult DBS certificate (on the update service or willing to apply).
  • Provide two professional references.
