PE Teacher

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students, engaging them in high-quality physical education lessons while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

The position is full-time and open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-standard PE lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Mark students’ work and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Participate fully in departmental and school life, including attending meetings and parents’ evenings.
  • Promote a positive learning environment and encourage student participation.
  • Support students in extracurricular sports and physical activities where required.
  • Uphold the school’s behaviour and achievement expectations, fostering respect and discipline.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed., or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary level (references required).
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (essential).
  • Prevent Awareness training within the last 3 years (essential).
  • Behaviour Management and FGM training (desirable; training can be provided).
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (on the update service or willing to apply).
