SEN TA

We are seeking a dedicated SEN TA to join a warm and welcoming primary school near London. This role requires previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a focus on supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).

Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people with SEN, including those with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and manage behaviour effectively.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the children’s needs are met.
  • Help deliver tailored learning activities, adapting to the needs of individual students.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of the children at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school or similar environment.
  • Proven ability to work with children with SEN or behavioural challenges.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable but can be provided).
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (on the update service or willing to apply).
  • Two professional references covering the past two years, with a focus on child-related roles.
